Rebate ripoff | Ziff Davis review from Las Vegas, Nevada has been adverting these external drives for months. Adverting the product as a great buy if you get the rebate. 'if' is the problem. which handles the rebate makes it almost impossible to claim the rebate. First, you have to submit on line. Good luck. In the past few months I've submitted 4 rebates and it never took less than an hour. In two cases the submittal got completely messed up and I had to contact them to get it straightened out. Then you have to fill out a form which they e-mail you. They send the wrong form, or no form at all. Then you have to cut out the label and use it on the envelope which by the way, the post office will not handle unless you double the postage. Yeah, how many people know this? Then they lose the paperwork, and deny your claim. You call them and they send the paperwork again which they lose again. You say, "send it certified". Yeah, I have the time to go to the post office, stand in line and pay 5$ to send a certified letter on a $30 rebate. Then you try to warn people off but doesn't care, and just ignores your product review. For the drive that I bought, all the reviews seem suspiciously fake.
